IN A SPECIAL INTERACTIVE FORUM FOR WOMEN ENTITLED 'EMPOWERING WOMEN' AMAN CELEBRATES DAY FOR ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Preface:

Protection and Social Rehabilitation center 'AMAN', that works under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social work on the occasion of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, organises an interactive forum entitled 'Empowerment of Women' dedicated to women and girls presented by Mrs. Noura Al-Mannai, family counselor from Qatar, Dr. Jassim Al-Mutawa, a family and educational expert and From Kuwait and Mrs. Shaima Al-Eidi

The Forum goals:

The event comes on the occasion of the International Day foe elimination of Violence against Women, and aims to empower participants and acquire new skills, and build their capacities, where the Forum focused on how to empower and protect women, as well as highlighting their role in building society.

Significant presence:

The Forum witnessed a significant presence of girls and women, where Aman Center has dedicated an electronic link for registration and the number of registered participants reached more than 700 knowing that the attendance is free for those women who want to attend the forum.

The most important topics:

Zainab Al-Mahmoud, a program development specialist at the Awareness Department, presented the forum where many topics where discussed including family roles, raising children, reducing dependence on maids and nannies. Good example, in addition to talking about positive freedom by reducing negative emancipation, talking about women's work, how to reconcile the requirements of both home and work, and empowerment against crises facing women health, socially, economically and politically

Qualitative interactive forum:

Aman Center was keen on organizing an interactive forum where participants presented different topics and participated in the meeting with the views and discussion.

Electronic Voting:

The event was accompanied by interactive parts, notably electronic voting, where several topics were put to the vote, such as how women can empower themselves, and how they can empty their emotions and anger, the work of women is it a necessity or accessories, where voting on these topics witnessed participation and interaction of the large audience.

Nora Mannai: I say to women: through empowerment you can

Dr. Mansour Saadi Al-Yafei: Promoting women's culture is empowering and developing their capacities

Dr. Mansour Al Saadi Al Yafei, Executive Director of Aman Center, said that the forum discussed issues of concern to women in their work, family and life in general romoting women's culture is empowering and developing their capacities Especially since Qatari women are role models at all levels,

 He added that Qatari women have been able to face various social and political crises

He stressed that the Center's choice of women empowerment coincides with the celebration of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women reflecting the vision and mission of Aman Center in emphasizing the role of women and their position in the Qatari society and raising awareness of their issues.

Mrs. Amna Al Mahmoud: Organizing an interactive forum to empower women annually

Mrs. Amna Al Mahmoud, Head of Program Development at Aman Center, said that every year we prepare activities and events related to our target groups of both women and children, and highlight in international days the most important achievements we offer to the target groups. It is necessary to explore new ways of thinking, and to show positive models through which it has been able to transfer its own experiences and experiences in the field of empowerment.

Fakhriyah Al-Tamimi: These Forums motivate us to lunch towards Empowerment path:
